Hi everyone!
I have never don't a blog before, so this is all new for me! It seems very strange to blog under a fake name, so here goes nothing! This is my 3rd semester at sierra college, and I plan to apply for nursing school this fall. I just completed my last prerequisite over the summer. I have definitely procrastinated in taking this class, because talking in front of people gives me a lot of anxiety, and pretty much scares the crap out of me, which i have a feeling it does for a few others in this class so at least I'm not alone! Through this class I hope to overcome my fear of public speaking, because I believe it can help in my career as a nurse.
I look forward to getting to know all of you in this class, and I hope we have an awesome semester together!
It is strange posting under a false name! It's hard to greet your class mates because you're not sure how to start off a comment. Also you're not really sure who is who, but I guess as the semester moves on there will be some key hints. lol I think what I've learned is to just splash into a conversation without introductions. I'm pretty sure most of us are here to overcome fear of public speaking.
ReplyDeleteIt is strange to post under a false name, but I kind of like it! I also put off taking this class, because I get nervous when speaking in front of other people. I know I should not be nervous, but once I get in front of everybody, my heart starts racing and I totally get nervous. I plan on becoming a nurse as well, and I know that this class will be a great help in the healthcare field. Nurses have to communicate with all kinds of people, in all kinds of situations; including doctors, patients, and other hospital staff.
